The Different Layers Of Availability.
Ok, this is gonna be lightspeed quick, cause I just wanna bring up one thing. So the new logistics system is coming online. Turns out it was really simple to set up as soon as my fingers stopped bleeding from all the typing. Anyways, that had the fun result of some weapons not being stocked equally to each other. This is going to piss some people off… a lot. Why? Cause although it doesn’t outright ban some weapons, it does make some more available than others. i.e it is highly likely that at some point your favorite missile variant may become unavailable. Now, it will be restocked, probably soon, but it’s gonna encourage you to fly with different loadouts that you might not otherwise. Why? Well, because of the all mighty dollar. With Liberty Forge we embarked on this no holds barred ultimate accuracy approach with enough research to make my high school history teacher why the hell I came within an inch of flunking her class. A result of that, at least in inventory, is we’re trying to balance out the loadout supplies to fit what would be realistically available. An aircraft carrier may only be carrying 12 harms but about 80 mk82s, because you’re gonna use about 70 more mk82s and those harms are freaking expensive. The other half of that equation is that just because a AIM7P comes out in 92 doesn’t mean you’re gonna have thousands ready to go in year one. Those things take time to build. In fact the AIM-7P is mostly being used to replace expended AIM-7M inventory, so they aren’t gonna be all over the place.
